V2.0 Frames Made In The USA
Sure, they look the same as they used to, but a major lens upgrade is what makes the sunglasses in our V2.0 collection exceptional. Every style in the collection has been fit with Polycarbonate Polarized lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than the plastic or TAC lenses used previously. But we didn't stop there. We've added an Anti-Reflective Coating to the inside of each lens. Light can be reflected off the back surface of lenses, towards your eye, causing glare. The AR Coating will reduce these reflections making your lenses clearer to see through, helping to reduce eye strain and eye fatigue. Now to the front side of the lenses where we've added a Flash Mirror Coating. Applied to the surface of the lens, a Flash Mirror Coating gives the lens a shiny mirror-like appearance that reflects light rays from surfaces like water and snow away from the eye beyond what is absorbed by the tinted lenses alone. The mirror coating decreases the amount of light passing through the tinted lens by a further 10–60%. On top of that we've added a Hydrophobic Coating which facilitates the run-off of water droplets from the lens surface. It can reduce visual distortion that can happen around water or in the rain. It also resists stains and repels grease and fingerprints.
Do you want to know the best part? Our V2.0 frames are designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA. Why is "Made in America" important? We are an American company. Keeping jobs in America is important to us. Back in 2004, when we first started Fatheadz, like most start-up companies, we searched to find the least expensive way to make our product so we could be competitive in the market. The US is not a cheap place to manufacture. Now that we have a foot hold in the market and people know our name, they know where to get extra-wide eyewear, we decided it was time to take this first step.
We think we've made a superior product and hope that "Made in America" is as important to you as it is to us.
